In these cases, passengers may also request to reschedule their booking or receive a non-refundable Open Voucher, valid during the year of issue and redeemable for the same route. If the hydrofoil does not depart due to the Captain&#8217;s decision \u2013 because of adverse weather conditions or technical issues \u2013 you may request a refund by completing the form available in the <strong><a href=\"\/en\/forms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forms section<\/a><\/strong> of this website or by collecting it from the ticket office.<\/p><p>If the <strong>ticket<\/strong> was <strong>purchased<\/strong> online, by telephone or at the ticket office <strong>without collecting the boarding pass before departure<\/strong>, the refund request must be sent to <strong><a href=\"mailto:rimborsi@vetor.it\">rimborsi@vetor.it<\/a><\/strong> or <strong>by post<\/strong> to <em>Vetor Aliscafi &#8211; P.O. Box 144 &#8211; 00042 Anzio (RM)<\/em>, enclosing the <a href=\"\/en\/forms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>refund request form<\/strong><\/a> available in the &#8220;Forms&#8221; section together with the <strong>booking confirmation e-mail<\/strong>. If the ticket was purchased online or by telephone using a credit card, the request must be submitted by the <strong>credit card holder<\/strong> who made the purchase. During the high season and especially at weekends, travel times along the SS148 &#8220;Pontina&#8221;, SS601 &#8220;Ostia\u2013Anzio&#8221;, SS207 &#8220;Nettunense&#8221;, as well as on the roads leading to the port, may be longer than expected. Please also allow time for possible parking difficulties. We recommend planning your journey with enough time to arrive at the check-in point before the deadline.<\/p><p>Please remember that there is always a possibility of your journey being cancelled or delayed.<\/p><p><a href=\"\/en\/faq\/#information-notice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&gt; Information Notice<\/strong><\/a><\/p><ul><li><strong>Check<\/strong> before travelling that your booking has been correctly registered for your chosen date and departure time.<\/li><li><strong>Go to the ticket office<\/strong> to collect your boarding pass. A valid identity document must be presented to the check-in staff when collecting your ticket.<br \/><strong>Please note:<\/strong> if the person collecting the ticket(s) is not the holder of the credit card used for the online booking, they must present a written authorisation signed by the cardholder together with a photocopy of the cardholder&#8217;s identity document.<br \/>Keep your ID readily available, as ticket office staff may need to verify your identity. Since bookings are issued in the passenger&#8217;s name, the onboard staff may also request proof of identity if necessary.<\/li><li><strong>Declare<\/strong> the number of items of luggage you are carrying. Please note that the onboard staff will verify the number of bags at boarding. Any discrepancy between the luggage paid for and the luggage presented for boarding will require you to return to the ticket office.<\/li><li><strong>Present<\/strong> your travel ticket by showing the QR code on your boarding pass to the staff at the hydrofoil entrance before boarding.<\/li><\/ul><p>Please remember to keep all boarding passes you have collected, as they are required when requesting a refund in the event of a cancellation, especially for the return journey from the island due to adverse sea and weather conditions. Due to the way hydrofoils operate\u2014at high speed with the hull completely lifted above the water\u2014they are more affected by adverse sea conditions than conventional ferries.<\/p><p>As wave height increases, the hydrofoil must reduce speed for safety reasons, operating with the hull no longer fully raised above the water. As a result, the vessel would travel at approximately one-third of its normal cruising speed, exposing passengers to prolonged discomfort caused by the sea conditions. Under such circumstances, the service is generally cancelled.<\/p><p>As you may arrive at the departure pier only to learn that all scheduled departures have been cancelled due to rough sea conditions, we recommend checking the local marine weather forecast in advance.
